Event description:
A ceiling is one of the most important surfaces within a space and Knauf’s multi-material solutions are the key to perfecting the overall design aesthetic. In this seminar, the Sustainability, Fire Resistance, Health & Well Being and other design-related considerations of using Multi Materials will be covered to reveal that not all Suspended Ceilings need to be the same.
What will be covered:
Sustainability - Certification and Environmental Impact.
Acoustic Ceiling Basics – Acoustics, Fire Protection, Hygiene and Health Aesthetic design. General Acoustic theory including sound absorption, attenuation, and reverberation times.
Multi Materials – Including AMF Mineral, Heradesign - Wood Wool, Armstrong - Metal, Mesh, Wood and System Solutions.
Please note: this event could contribute towards the ARB’s 2024 mandatory requirement for CPD on ‘Environmental Sustainability’ and Fire and Life Safety’.
About the speaker:
Amanda Connolly, Specification Team Leader, Knauf
Amanda has worked for Knauf for 10 years with Architects, Main Contractors, Designers. As an Acoustician, she is passionate about Acoustics and how this plays a vital part in all projects. Also joining Amanda will be Knauf, Technical Manager, Belal Sabih.
