Digital Transformation
-
Dale Sinclair (left) is a practicing architect and Director at WSP, where he is head of digital innovation. Dale has worked on a number of projects across the UK, US and Middle East, delivering transformational projects each different from the one before. He is passionate about how we design and construct buildings and has written extensively on design management, including RIBA Plan of Works documents on the 2013 changes and updates in 2020. He is current Chair of the Construction Industry Council Digital Forum.

For the past two decades, Tomas Millar (centre), co-director of Millar Howard Workshop, has been at the forefront of integrating digital technology with traditional architectural craftsmanship. He has pioneered the innovative use of emergent technologies in architecture such as virtual reality, photogrammetry, drone scanning and AI. Yet, his designs remain deeply grounded in tangible, materially rich experiences, blending into historical and natural environments and reflecting a respect for context, heritage and the environment. In 2020, he embarked on a fellowship at the University of Bath, exploring data's relationship with architecture and experimenting with early versions of GPT-3, precursor to GPT-4 and ChatGPT. He is currently working full time to help scale up self-build in the UK - making more land available to self-builders.

Bruce Bell (right) is the founder and CEO at Facit setting the overall vision for the company. He oversees the products in detail as well as design, manufacture and supporting processes. Bruce trained as an industrial designer but also studied fine art before undertaking an MA at the Royal College of Art. Prior to starting his first business in 2004 he worked with leading architects, designers and artists such as Norman Foster, Ron Arad and Antony Gormley on a personal basis.
